Elvia J. Rodriguez, once an undocumented Mexican immigrant, is the founder and CEO of Goldamity Insurance Services, Inc. Elvia immigrated to the United States at the age of 3. Despite the many immigration obstacles, she completed her studies and graduated in 2010 with Honors from California State University, San Bernardino, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication. With a love for education, Elvia has acquired various licenses, which include a Property & Casualty License, Tax Preparation License, and is a Licensed Business Partner for the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) of California.
Elvia is a third-generation businesswoman. She follows both her mother and grandmother who created and sought business ventures in the food and retail industries. Her family’s passion for entrepreneurship sparked Elvia’s desire to start her own business. In 2013 Goldamity Insurance Services was established as an independent insurance brokerage with a focus on representing the client, and tailoring insurance services and protection for their personal and business needs. Her brokerage represents over 105 companies for auto, business, and homeowners insurance. Over the past 7 years, Elvia and her licensed brokers have serviced nearly 25,000 clients in California. Recently her business focus has expanded into servicing the motor carrier community. On average, her brokerage helps establish 10 new prospective trucking companies a month, and assists truck drivers obtain trucking permits, as well as service their insurance needs.
In her spare time, Elvia prides herself on being a natural athlete, giving back to her community, and providing one on one mentorship to women that are future entrepreneurs. She enjoys outdoor activities such as golfing, hiking, and snowboarding, and holds the amateur bodybuilding title of Ms. Iron Gladiator 2017. Elvia gives back to her community through non-profit organizations that help the less fortunate. She also loves sharing her personal struggles, life experiences, and knowledge obtained in overcoming all of her hardships as an undocumented Latina with other businesswomen. Elvia has mentored women starting businesses within the insurance industry, as well as, personal training and cosmetology. She was a member of the board of directors for NLWBA-IE from 2018-2019, and a nominee in 2018 for the Trailblazer award. Elvia looks forward to expanding her business services, and inspiring women to strive for success in entrepreneurship.
