Prior to joining BBSI, Sandra worked in business development and project management in different capacities for both government and private initiatives throughout North and South America. Her education and experience have been built around International Business Management, Accounting and Marketing. Sandra enjoys community building and has worked with the Latino Business Community for the last 20+ years. 

She has been guest of honor of multiple organizations such as Red Cross International, Organizacion de Estados Iberoamericanos, Canadian Commercial Corporation, Export Development Canada, EXIM Bank, Caritas International, Consulates, InterAmerican Development Bank, Embassies and Presidential offices, due to her expertise in International Cooperation for Third World Countries and housing solutions research for low-income families. 

Moved to USA in 2014 to start from scratch, as a single mother, but a decade later Sandra has been recognized as one of the most influential Latinas in 2022 by Raise the Bar (RTB) Podcast, due to her relentless work with small business owners in California. 

From the beginning of her career, she devoted her professional live to help entrepreneurs succeed, currently heads up operations as the Area Manager for Barrett Business Services, Inc. (BBSI), a Professional Employer Organization (PEO).  She oversees a team of ten full-time professionals at the greater Coachella Valley branch in La Quinta, CA.  She works closely with all the Southern California BBSI locations and is often called upon to lead several company-wide initiatives.  Her leadership provides all-encompassing Human Resources services including but not limited to Staffing, Payroll & Taxes, Workers Compensation Insurance administration, Risk & Safety guidance, Labor Compliance, Employee Benefits administration, and general Business Consulting services to approximately 100 small to mid-sized organizations in the immediate area. Sandra is an inspirational leader, being the first Latina in the history of the company to achieve such executive level in a multi billionaire, and publicly traded company. 

She is currently part of the Board of Directors for the Employee Benefit Planning Association of SoCal and One Inland Empire Association, as well as Ambassador for the NLBWA IE, and an active supporter or multiple Entrepreneurial Training Centers of California State University, Chaffey College and Chambers of Commerce.
