What do Prime Contractors want? In this course, participants will learn common expectations among prime contractors and large businesses. Participants will explore varying distinctions that allow companies to thrive and succeed in the larger marketplace. Participants will determine the steps necessary to prepare and engage with Primes. Finally, they will learn how to evaluate strategies to obtain experience in subcontracting, teaming, and mentor/protégé structures
This program is intended for companies that have been in business for at least 3 years, who want to become a vendor for corporations and public utility agencies, and/or are focused on Technology, Logistics, Construction, Manufacturing, Environmental sustainability, and healthcare access are encouraged to apply.
In this course, you will:
- Define the concept of “Mitigating Risk” and how subcontracting is a key component of it.
- Recognize what Primes look for in a Subcontractor?
- Apply this understanding to identify the best certifications and registrations to pursue to best position your business.
